U.S. vs International Travel
Quick thoughts on a month road trip to the Appalachian, down to Texas, and ending in the Rockies before moving to Hawaii.
It's not that I feel more afraid when traveling in the U.S, but the expectations to stick to the cultural norms can be exhausting. Living up to the American dream as Instagram calls it.
Even though the physical risk from riding motorbikes to sketchy taxi rides isn't so evident during my travels in the U.S., there is a lurking eagerness and uncertainty amongst the streets of my home country. An eagerness for life, death, and what the future will hold for us all. Is "The Dream" gone...no fucking way.
